From the moment we arrived, we felt like the entire resort knew our names, our story, and our celebration. Every staff member greeted us with excitement, asked about the wedding, and remembered details about our family members. They celebrated alongside us. We did not just feel like guests. We felt like Velas family. And then there is Mario. Our personal concierge, our miracle worker, our quiet hero throughout the week. When I say he did everything, I mean everything. Mario handled every request with grace, joy, and a level of care that made us feel like we were his top priority at all times. He checked in on us multiple times a day, anticipated our needs before we even said a word, and always found a way to make the impossible happen. On the wedding day, he was out at the ceremony site meticulously placing every petal toss bag on each chair himself. Detail by detail, moment by moment, Mario made sure our day was perfect. She protected our peace. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, our country experienced unexpected and chaotic government issues that impacted some of our guests’ travel and documentation. It was stressful and completely out of our control. Yet Gaby adapted with the highest level of professionalism and efficiency. She never once hesitated. She listened to our concerns, understood the impact these circumstances had on us and our guests, and immediately found solutions. She took every challenge in stride and proved that even things outside of anyone’s hands could still be managed gracefully and effectively. Watching Gaby in her element—coordinating multiple teams, checking every detail, solving problems before anyone even knew they existed—showed us just how special she is. She is going to be a force in this industry. I say that with certainty because she already is. If we lived in Puerto Vallarta, it would truly be an honor to work on the Grand Velas wedding planning team.
