My husband and I got married at Grand Velas and it was the best decision we ever made. We viewed over 10 resorts (had 15 scheduled) and once we went to grand velas we canceled all other appointments. It is not only a beautiful higher end place but the service was impeccable. If you are wanting a destination wedding this is the place to do it. The team coordinated everything with so much flexibility in the midst of COVID which planning a wedding in a pandemic was extremely stressful and unpredictable. Although we had far less guests than expected (68) we all had an amazing time! Even until the last minute, it rained on the day of the wedding and they had to last minute move the reception to an allternative indoor venue (Which was also so beautifu!), same as our jungle themed rehearsal dinner party the night before. The food was excellent too, and as someone who is vegan, every restaurant and even the breakfast buffet accommodated my dietary needs with all my specific requests (such as tofu scramble in the mornings). We honestly cannot wait to keep coming back to GVRM. And in fact many of our guests plan on coming back too! Special shout out to Monica Alvarez who was an incredible wedding coordinator who always answered my almost daily text messages and of the rest of the team too! We used Amor Amor for photography and videography. Decor and music/lighting was also on point! I Wish I could relive it all again, the just made the whole trip so magical.
