It is hard to find the words to express just how amazing our stay and our wedding was at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. We visited the property a little over a year before our wedding and fell completely in love with resort and when our tour of the resort ended we knew nothing we had planned to look at would top Grand Velas Riviera Maya so we stopped looking. The moment you pull up to the massive wall with the crystal clear moat you know you are in for the experience of a lifetime. The drive from the front gate to the hotel is like something out of Jurassic Park and Avatar all rolled into one amazing REAL place. We ended up bringing 50 people to the resort for our wedding and in that 50 people we had a wide range of tastes, styles and expectations, each and everyone one of our guests were blown away by Grand Velas Riviera Maya. We had a number of NYC “Foodies” and even they were amazing by the restaurants, the room service and the pool side food. The quality of food at Grand Velas Riviera Maya is 1st class compared to all other ALL-Inclusive resorts. We had people staying in all locations on the property and all were breath taking. Our wedding coordinator was Maria Elena Galicia and she was absolutely amazing. Like most brides I was a little nervous if they would be able to turn my vision into reality and they went above and beyond! Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail and I didn’t have a care in the world after working with Maria Elena and her team. If you want to feel a little like Kate Middleton on her wedding day…get married at Grand Velas Riviera Maya!!!! Thank you so much Elena!! We were lucky enough to be able to visit the spa a few times during our stay. The wonderful women at the spa took care of my wedding day hair and make- up and it was a wonderfully relaxing experience. My hair and make-up looked amazing. My husband and I took advantage of the couples massage which was pure relaxation and much needed after the wedding. The travel blogs are not kidding when they rate the Spa at Grand Velas one of the top spas in the world!! The team at Grand Velas are what really put the experience over the top they go out of their way to know you and make you feel like royalty. We had such great experiences with so many Grand Velas employees, the gentlemen that helped get the cars were so fun to talk to and were so helpful. Julio the bartender at the Ambassador pool was so FUN he was constantly joking and making “special” drinks he really was awesome. The whole team at Grand Velas are top notch, they are all so professional and amazing at what they do. Thank you Grand Velas for making our vacation and wedding more than we could have ever imagined or hoped to experience. The moment we got engaged we knew we wanted to have a small destination wedding. When it comes to choosing that perfect resort, we absolutely fell in love with Grand Velas Riviera Maya. It's the perfect destination for our romantic and intimate wedding celebration. And it turn out that we were right. We just had our wedding on May 19 at Grand Velas. It was truly magical. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The service, rooms, and food are top-notch and phenomenal. Elena was the wedding coordinator at Grand Velas RM and she was amazing. From the very first email that I had with her, I knew that I was in good hands. She was helpful, friendly and willing to take time to answered every single question I had. It was a pleasure to finally meet her in person once we arrived at the resort. She had everything ready for us and make sure we are taking care of. We were suppose to have an outdoor reception, however due to the rain we had to move the event inside. I was so frustrated and worry that it will not look as good indoor. Thankfully Elena, who really understood my vision and still brought it together beautifully indoor with all the helps from the experienced staffs. They put together every last detail I wanted and making my dream come true and creating a memories that we will never forget. Maria Elena Galicia and the wedding coordinators at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya are knowledgeable, extremely thorough and patient. They walked us through the planning process every step of the way and covered all the details from the large scale to the minute. Definitely let them take care of as much as possible because you want to enjoy your special day and not worry about details. When we arrived we met with a full team of about 10 people that was dedicated to our wedding from the head of Audio to the Spa Manager to the Pastry Chef making our cake; it gave us a huge sense of relief to find that every detail had been thought out and we were in the hands of true professionals. The wedding day went on without a hitch from the ceremony until the end of the reception. We would definitely recommend Grand Velas Riviera Maya and their wedding planning services without hesitation.
