We had the pleasure of having our wedding at the Grand Velas All Suites and Spa in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. First and foremost, the hotel grounds were well kept and manicured to perfection. The hotel grounds were partnered with beautiful and wonderfully designed building facilities that served as the perfect backdrop for our wedding. As soon as we showed interest in having our wedding at Grand Velas, we were assigned a wedding coordinator, the lovely Karla . Luckily for us, Karla was the wedding expert we needed, as neither of us had really put much thought into what we wanted for our special day besides for it to be in Mexico. Karla quickly put together great concepts for us to review and set up a site visit for us. Before we got there, we let Karla know what colors we had in mind and our favorite flowers. When we arrived we were overwhelmed at all the wonderful choices she had for us! We checked out possible locations for the ceremony, and they were all breathtaking. We narrowed down reception décor and flower arrangements and our favorite of them all was finalizing a menu! The food tasting was one of our favorite parts of the site visit – there was so much great good to choose from! And they catered to our every need, making sure there were vegetarian and allergen-free options for our guests with special diet needs! So when it was time to leave, we felt at ease knowing everything was picked out and that the staff had gotten to know us and had an idea of who we were and what kind of wedding we would like. Fast forward to about a year later, the wedding quickly approaching, and like most brides I had started discovering that I had much more of an idea of how I wanted things to go than I originally thought. I think I might have emailed the staff over 100 times with new things I wanted to include or get rid of – and thankfully my wedding team (Karla and Flor) managed to include every little detailed item I asked for. One of my favorite moments that Karla made sure was perfect in every way was the vow renewal my husband and I had set up for our parents. Karla had it set up overlooking the grounds and beach in a private area, and made sure everything was a secret so our parents could have a great surprise. The ceremony was perfectly set up and went off without a hitch (thanks to Karla). Afterwards there were dinner reservations for the family and the surprises did not stop there. Our parents got wonderful treats throughout the entire meal and were serenaded as well! It was truly a wonderful moment. It’s time!!!! We, along with our guests, arrived a few days before the wedding, and we all felt like royalty. My fiancé and I felt like King and Queen for sure, as all the staff continuously congratulated us on our upcoming nuptials! We brought in a few wedding favor for our guests for the ceremony and reception, and Karla made sure everything was where it needed to be. When we forgot a few items, our wedding team stepped in and made sure we were able to achieve the dream wedding we had been planning all along. On the day of the wedding Karla made sure my dress was steamed and ready for me in the bridal suite closest to the ceremony, so my walk would not be too long. As I was getting ready, my room overlooked the location where the ceremony would take place, and seeing it was all just breathtaking. Karla and staff had really done a great job on the set up! Karla was wedding coordinator extraordinaire! She was not only a friend to me but our wedding captain who kept things running smoothly and on schedule for the most part (I was behind on my hair and makeup, but in my defense beauty and perfection can’t be rushedJ). The wedding was perfect. Our minister was fabulous, the set up was great – it was all just perfect! We thought things could not get any better – well, that was until we saw the setup for the reception. I know amazing is one of the most over used words, but when I say it, it really was amazing! There was a lounge set up for our guests for our cocktail hour, the dinner tables were just how I had imagined, and the tiki torches and gorgeous backdrop of the beach made for an AMAZINGLY breathtaking set up! All in all it was hands-down one of the best experiences of my life! Everyone who came had a fabulous time, and the staff here is amazing!! The wedding was like nothing I had ever experienced and perfect in every way! If we could do it all again we would without hesitation. The Grand Velas wedding team really made this one of the smoothest and most wonderful experiences of our lives. Just thinking back on it now makes me so happy! I would recommend to anyone who is considering getting married at Grand Velas – DO IT, because you will not regret it for sure!

Hello. our Experience at Grand Velas was absolutely amazing! This was our second trip there and it was an excellent experience. My Fiancee and I were married in Puerto vallarta and had our events at grand Velas. ALL the staff was super friendly and attentive. We got everything we asked for and more!! the hotel has an incredible attention to detail that is hard to find in many other 5 star hotels you may go to. we know this from experience at places like the four seasons and ritz carlton. Our rooms were more than comfortable with turndown service every night. We sampled all the restaurants and they were all incredible. Better than a lot of new york spots at twice the price. You know you are in a special place when the bellboys and pool/beach staff take the time to know your name! We never thought we would be the type of couple to go to the same place every year but after going to grand velas, my wife promised me to take her back every year. It makes it easy to do this when you know good people will be there to make your trip an experience to remember. We give special thanks to francisco, cecilio, arturo, jaqueline( all from the beach/pool area) and a special thank you from the heart to Karla. She is a very special person and we will make sure to go back just to say hello to her!! when you go to grand velas, we can tell you that you will return because you made new friends. Our entire group was very impressed with the resort and its staff. The staff was attentive and personable. The resort entrance and facilities are first-class and the suites are great size, always clean.The evening restaurants are so impressive. The menu selection and presentation are amazing. We LOVE the music in the restaurants (guitar, trumpet, etc.). Azul is a wonderful pool/beachside place for breakfast. We are so glad we chose Grand Velas for our wedding event. We were working on a limited budget and our wedding coordinator(s) (Flor Guzman & Karla Aguillon ) did a wonderful job making it look spectacular! Nice variety of music and food options. LOVE the wedding gazebo/terrace. The lounge furniture and Chinese lamps/tiki torches really added to the ambience. Our photographer took some amazing pictures. Our guests really enjoyed the room service. Several mornings, they chose to have breakfast in bed. Also, the bread and cheese baskets are amazing. Staff was always accommodating, Jenny and I encouraged all of our guests to try the spa. It is so relaxing and luxurious. Our guests had wonderful reviews on the spa facilities. They especially like the pre-treatments (sauna, steam room, pressure wash, etc.)Flor Guzman and Karla Aguillon were outstanding wedding coordinators. Not only did they provide us all the options for our event, they worked well with our budget to make it beautiful. They were very personable and easy to work with. Our only negative, was a two-month period when we did not have a wedding coordinator assigned to us. Karla had to leave for family reasons. Flor finished the planning for us and did a wonderful job.

My husband and I wanted to express how grateful we are to everyone for how truly special our wedding was. A special thanks to Karla Aguillon - without her, our wedding could not have been the wonderful event that it was! She went out of her way to make our wedding bigger, better, and absolutley amazing, without it being over the top. The flowers were beautiful, the food was fantastic and the set-up was absolutely gorgeous! There is not a single thing I would have done differently, and I can't think of many other brides who would say that. Not only was our wedding perfect, but it literally went off without a single hitch! I have been to quite a few weddings, been a bridesmaid and maid of honor at many of them, and I can't say the same thing about any of those - something always went wrong! Because of Karla's efforts, and that of the entire staff of the Grand Velas who worked our wedding, everything went smoothly and we had the times of our lives! Thank you!
